Keeping a sketch book dedicated to colour ways is really important to me, I find it helps when making decisions in the print room and having the visuals to imagine combinations, all together in a handy book to reach for. Regularly keeping up to date with decor and interior magazines is vital as a textile designer to be ahead of trends, not only that but they have beautiful imagery that I like to just tear out and mix and match.
Combinations can come from anywhere which is why its crucial to document and collect. I'm working on including some of my own photographs and using different methods of applying colour to make it more personal and exciting.
